My Love for Education

Sitting in the classroom helps me realize my love for teaching. I love the feeling that I am helping shaping the future and hopefully inspiring someone. I also enjoy when I know that I have taught something new to someone. Watching kids grow in just one year is quite amazing. I also feel privileged to be apart of that process in their lives. I knew that I wanted to work with young kids very early in life because of how much my first grade teacher affected my life. I hope that I can have that same affect on a child's life. I have also worked with first grade students and fifth grade and found my desire to be with the younger crowd. They tend to be more eager about learning and like to please their teachers, so hopefully you do not have to deal with much trouble. I get excited to each day that I get to spend with them because I am not only teaching them but am learning from them as well.

  1. Michelle,

Hey there my a&m friend! I couldn't agree more with you saying you want to impact a child's life like your teacher impacted yours. When I step back and think what I want out of life, the only thing that sticks forever is the ability to impact someone's life. I too just want to know that I changed a life or made a difference. I haven't always known that I wanted to teach, but I've known i wanted to make a difference. I think the education world is were I can and will do this! Oh and to comment on your other blog, I think it's hilarious how blunt young children are. I have a young boy in my second grade class now who told my teacher "my mom thinks you're ugly". It was all i could do to not bust out laughing!

  2. Hey Michelle! I admire your passion for wanting to impact a child's life. Not many people have the desire to spend everyday teaching children, perhaps were given the energy to do so! I too have always known I wanted to work with children, however, it took me a while to decide on teaching. Now that I have, I can't wait to finish school and have a class of my own. Good Luck this semester with your class:)

  3. Hey Michelle! You and I seem a lot alike. I have the same passion about wanting to teach. I knew as well that I wanted to be a teacher when I was little because of my Elementary school teachers. I believe they make the biggest impact on you as far as school goes. I too want to teach the younger children. I agree with you when you say they have such a strong urge to learn. I love that about the younger children, they are so excited about learning and that puts a smile on my face. Good luck with everything this semester! see you in class.

  4. I love your post! Love for children really comes out when you are actually in the classroom working with the students. I love the feeling of teaching a lesson to my kindergarteners and knowing that they learned something from it. Good luck this semester!

  5. It was so encouraging to read your post. I know that I absolutely love being the classroom and can't wait to be able to have my own soon. I love the impact that we as teachers can have on students knowing that it can make all the difference. I really want to be involved in my students lives and help them no matter waht issues they face. I know that you along with the rest of the girs in our class will be great teachers one day.

  6. I totally agree with the love of teaching. I love being in my classroom because I feel that all the stress of my everyday life goes away as soon as I see their face. I have always said if you dont have the passion for what you do then another career is what you should look for. You along with many more in our class have the right attitude when approaching being teachers, and I can't wait for us to have a class of our own.

  7. Michelle-
Being in the classroom has also made me realize my love for teaching! I'm sure that you are going to be a very inspiring and fun teacher! You seem to have to prefect personality for an elementary school teacher. You're students are going to be very lucky to end up with you as their teacher! I also agree that teachers learn as much from their students as their students learn from them!
